Kim Teck Cheong
88 years of legacy, rebuilt for the modern web.
One of Sabah's most recognisable corporate names needed a website that matched their standing — not something that looked like it was built in 2005.

The Challenge
A household name with a website that didn't reflect 88 years of credibility
Kim Teck Cheong has been a fixture in Sabah's commercial landscape since 1936 — supplying consumer goods, operating retail outlets, and running distribution logistics across East Malaysia. For Sabah businesses and institutions, the KTC name carries weight.
But their existing website didn't reflect that. An outdated design with poor mobile experience was the first thing a supplier, new partner, or corporate client would see when they looked up KTC online. For a company dealing with national brand principals and B2B trade relationships, this mismatch was costing them credibility at the door.
They needed a corporate website that honoured their legacy while presenting the company in a modern, professional light — across retail, distribution, and logistics divisions.
What We Built
A multi-division corporate website that carries the weight of the brand
Bingo built kimteckcheong.com — a full corporate website structured around KTC's three main business divisions, with a design language that combined heritage credibility with modern usability.
-
Company history and legacy section
88+ years of business history positioned as a trust signal, not just a footnote. Timeline, milestones, and company evolution clearly presented.
-
Multi-division structure
Separate sections for retail, wholesale distribution, and integrated logistics — making it easy for different audiences (retail partners, brand principals, B2B buyers) to find what's relevant.
-
Distribution network overview
Coverage map and service area breakdown — important for brand principals and wholesale partners evaluating KTC as a distribution partner.
-
B2B contact flows
Clear inquiry channels for trade partnership inquiries, separate from consumer-facing contact — respecting the different audience types.
-
Mobile-first responsive design
Full responsiveness — because even in B2B, executives are browsing on their phones before they pick up the phone.
The Outcome
A website that finally matches what KTC actually is
The live site at kimteckcheong.com now presents KTC as the major Sabah corporate institution it is. New trade partners, brand principals, and corporate clients researching KTC online get an immediate, accurate impression of the company's scale and history.
For established Sabah companies, the website redesign isn't about chasing trends — it's about closing the gap between how good your business actually is and how it looks online. Kim Teck Cheong is one of the best examples of that.
Key lesson from this project:
For established companies, the brief is often the same: "We've outgrown our old site. We need something that shows who we actually are today." That's a brand alignment problem, not just a design problem — and it's exactly what we're built to solve.
Is your website keeping up with your business?
If you've outgrown your old site, let's talk. We'll build something that actually matches who you are.
