The Big G
Off WordPress in four weeks, onto a site that gets twice the Google clicks a day.

An event management company in Kota Kinabalu and a Bingo client since 2021. Its new site went live on 16 April 2026, built on Bingo’s Static Stack.

Who they are
An event company with its own crews
The Big G Sdn Bhd runs corporate events, product launches, gala dinners and exhibitions in Kota Kinabalu, with its own sound, light and visual, design and fabrication teams. It is part of PHG International Group.
What was broken
A WordPress site that had become a maintenance risk
The Big G’s old website ran on WordPress. By early 2026 it had become a maintenance risk: the kind of site that needs constant patching to stay safe.
An event company’s website has one job. When a company in Sabah searches for someone to run its annual dinner or product launch, it has to be found, show its work, and make sending a brief straightforward. In March 2026 the decision was to rebuild rather than keep patching.
What we did
A new site, and the enquiries in the client’s own hands
- 1
Rebuilt on the Static Stack in under four weeks
Decision taken on 20 March; a new 18-page site live on thebigg.com.my on 16 April 2026. No plugins to keep patched. Hosted on Cloudflare.
- 2
Dark theme, the client’s own photos
Almost every image is from a real Big G event. A portfolio of 30 jobs with filters by event type, and a wall of 34 client brands across ten pages.
- 3
Pages for the searches that matter
Four service pages, three event-type pages, a Kota Kinabalu page and a guide to corporate event venues in the city that now shows up in Google on its own.
- 4
Enquiries land in the client’s own inbox
The contact form now runs on The Big G’s own account, so every brief goes straight to them, with WhatsApp beside it.
- 5
Ready for Google and for AI assistants
Structured information on every page, a sitemap sent to Google five days after launch, Google Analytics, and a file that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT read the site.
- 6
Reported back after launch
A before-and-after search report two months in, so the client could see how search had moved.

Figures: Google Search Console for thebigg.com.my, pulled 5 Oct 2026. Search Console data for this site starts on 15 February 2026, so the ‘before’ is the old site’s last 60 days only. Enquiries go to the client’s own inbox and are not counted here.
Why it matters to the next client
An ageing WordPress site is usually treated as a patching job: update the plugins, renew the security add-on, hope. The Big G took the other route — rebuild on a stack with no plugins to patch — and was on its new site within four weeks. Enquiries now go straight into the client’s own inbox, where they belong.
